Exhibition „Circles and Squares“ by Jolanta Kanapickaitė
We invite you to visit Gallery A where exhibited paintings by Jolanta Kanapickaitė. The exhibition titled „Circles and Squares" will be open until 30 of November.
„Everyday. Circles and squares. Breathing. Breathing in and breathing out. The quest for tranquillity and peace during the day and at night. Found. Lost. It is an unbreakable and never-ending cycle. Moment, virus, bacteria, health. It is the rhythm of here and now. Sometimes even, quiet and picturesque. But sometimes – broken, torn apart, twitching, fierce. Music. Farmstead. The act of painting refreshes, rescues, restores, heals, sounds like a body. When I paint I ponder over the origins of the images, culture, memories and the present, analysing the limits of the relationship between the personal and the collective imagination. I wonder, why individual images become locked in the memory and stimulate creativity, becoming a certain point of departure and the form of the daily visual communication. Keen on expressionism of images. It lets me find what I am after“ Jolanta Kanapickaitė
