Mobile applications laboratory rules
Activities at the Mobile Applications laboratory are based on the principle of mutual respect: show respect to the laboratory equipment and its rules and we will respect you too! The code of conduct and the equipment borrow and return rules of the Mobile Applications laboratory are regulated by the Laboratory Equipment Operating Rules:
LABORATORY EQUIPMENT OPERATING RULES
I. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1. The operating rules for the Laboratory equipment for VGTU Faculty of Fundamental Sciences for Mobile Applications Laboratory shall regulate the procedures and provisions for the use of the laboratory equipment and equipment accessories for educational purposes;
2. Laboratory equipment and its accessories for Mobile Applications Laboratory (hereinafter – Laboratory) shall be available only to participants of the learning process and research conducted on behalf of VGTU (hereinafter – Users);
3. Laboratory equipment shall be only used for study and research purposes;
4. The Head of laboratory or his or her deputy shall be responsible for ensuring that Users borrow and return the Laboratory equipment in accordance with these rules;
II. USER OBLIGATIONS
5. Familiarise themselves with the manual for the Laboratory equipment usage, the operation principles and parameters;
6. Following familiarisation with the manual, Users are to sign the register (Annex I) declaring their commitment to adhere to the Laboratory Equipment Operating Rules. Work with the Laboratory equipment is allowed only after this step has been completed;
7. Users must be the holders of a valid student/employee ID. Persons without a valid student/employee ID are prohibited from working at the Laboratory or with its equipment;
8. Users are to verify that the equipment that is to be taken out of the Laboratory is in good working order. If any malfunctions or inaccuracies are noticed, Users shall be obliged to inform the Head of laboratory or his/her deputy immediately;
III. THE RULES FOR BORROWING AND RETURNING LABORATORY EQUIPMENT
9. Users shall be obliged to show valid student/employee or group representative's IDs;
10. Laboratory equipment items are identified by an accession number which is entered in the Laboratory equipment list (Annex 3);
11. All Users of the equipment shall be registered in the Laboratory equipment loan and return register (Annex 2);
12. Both Users and the Head of Laboratory or the member of VGTU staff issuing the equipment shall sign the loan and return register;
13. Upon the return of the Laboratory equipment the Head of laboratory shall verify the equipment is in good working order and complete;
14..The return of the Laboratory equipment shall be filed by the signatures of the Users and the Head of laboratory in the loan and return register (Annex 2);
15. The maximum time for which the Laboratory equipment can be borrowed is 1 working days;
IV. LIABILITY OF THE PARTIES
16. The Head of laboratory shall be responsible for overseeing whether the equipment that is taken out of the Laboratory is in good working order and complete;
17. Users are prohibited from giving the Laboratory equipment to any third parties and use outside the VGTU;
18. Users shall be responsible for all the activities carried out in the name of the User. Users shall be obliged to pay all the consequent damages in cases of operating rules violations.
