Main subjects Heat and mass transfer, Buildings, micro climate, Conditioning, Heating, Air conditioning The pipeline, Technical systems, Renewable energy resources.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS STUDY PROGRAMME?

To educate professionals who would be able to analyze, model and simulate the energy conversion processes, also would be able to identify, formulate and solve the engineering problems related with heat production and conversion, heat supply, gas supply and consumption, as well as with indoor air quality, while planning, designing, using new and available energy, thermal equipment and systems, which exhibit high efficiency, cost effectiveness, quality and reliability of energy conversion, consumption and management in a coherent and sustainable demand of resources and environmental impact.

What will you learn?

  • To use non-renewable and renewable energy sources, their structure, properties, function, components and processes of interaction, the overall integrity of these systems, their interaction with environment.
  • To use computer technologies required to tackle the tasks and challenges in the area of energy engineering, having the skills operating the measuring equipment and laboratory skills working with the machinery of thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, ventilation and hydraulic machines.
.

Where can you make an internship?

It is possible to do internship with ventilation, air-conditioning, heat production and supply companies.

Exchange period abroad?

Students who are willing to study in foreign universities, have an opportunity to study abroad for one or two semesters in the following countries: Sweden, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Greece, South Korea, USA, etc.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE

You will have plenty of opportunities to apply and diversity your skills through graduate projects, internships, career programmes, clubs and societies.
  • Studies and internship abroad
  • Career Services
  • Linkmenų factory
  • Sport and Art Centre

What will you be able to do after graduation?

  • To identify the most important environmental problems, to apply the latest methods and measures with the least negative impact on the environment, to select and apply research methodologies for the control of environmental protection processes;
  • To design and select technological and organizational measures to manage climate change and improve the quality of the environment;
  • To implement preventive environmental management measures, to develop cleaner production principles  and advanced environmental technologies in line with the concept of sustainable development;
  • To analyse and apply wastewater, air purification, waste management technologies, to understand new environmental equipment and perform their maintenance;
  • To analyse and solve water supply and sewage disposal tasks, design and use engineering systems.

What are career opportunities after graduation?

Graduates are employed in heat or gas supply, heating, ventilation and air conditioning design, maintenance and production companies; or continue education for Master's degree.
