Transforming Teaching in Higher Education

On 15 November, a seminar is organized at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU). This one day session will discuss approaches to developing and recognising teaching, and how these approaches can be applied in higher education institutions, based on Advance HE’s international teaching development work. This one day session is ofered to senior staf with responsibility for the leadership of teaching and learning in higher education institutions.
Speakers
Ian Hall (Head of International Membership), AFHEA
Ian supports Advance HE’s international members, and has designed and managed teaching development programmes in Hungary, Kazakhstan, Spain, Turkey, Denmark, Thailand, China, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Ian has worked with higher education institutions for 14 years, and has a background in learning technology and programme management.
Kathy Wright (Assistant Director - Knowledge, Insights and Innovation), FHEA
Kathy leads on Advance HE’s international teaching programmes and has designed and delivered many consultancy projects on learning and teaching within the UK and internationally, including standalone workshops and programmes in academic practice in Lithuania, Hungary, Kazakhstan, China, Myanmar, Thailand and Uruguay. Kathy has extensive experience in Higher Education including seventeen years teaching experience in 3 Higher Education institutions.
